You may have already heard about the 1921 Census of England & Wales made available by the National Archives exclusively on Findmypast this year.

Currently, access to the Census is restricted to individuals only, however, I am pleased to let you know that this detailed snapshot of 8.5 million households will be available to public libraries with a subscription to Findmypast as an add-on subscription later this year.

How to access the 1921 census
Public libraries will need to first subscribe to Findmypast Britain or World. Then later in the year, the option will become available to add access to the 1921 Census for an additional fee.

The rates for Findmypast subscription will be increasing in July this year. Subscribe now to beat the price increase, save your budget, and allow you to access the 1921 census optional upgrade later this year.

What is included in Findmypast now?
Public libraries can choose from two community editions of Findmypast:

Britain Edition – millions of records from England, Scotland and Wales
World Edition – over 13 billon records from Britain, Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, United States and       Canada
