This FREE half-day workshop provides the opportunity for attendees to think and talk about digital literacy, research skills and the importance for students to become critical thinkers – topics which are so important in this increasingly complex digital world.

You will have the chance to share what your school is doing to develop your students’ digital literacy skills, how you have been helping them become digitally savvy and enabling them to become confident independent online researchers ready for university and the workplace.

Drawing on the keynote speakers’ presentations at the JCS 2018 conference on digital literacy, the session will consider what the research is reporting about digital literacy and young people, the relationship of ‘digital’ with ‘information’ literacy, and the importance of collaboration in supporting digital capabilities and policies.
